A 20-year-old man who was fatally struck by a Metra train early Wednesday in west suburban Lisle has been identified.

Maxwell Zable was hit by a Metra equipment train about 5:25 a.m. near Burlington Avenue in Lisle, according to Metra and the DuPage County coroner’s office.

The Lisle resident died of massive traumatic injuries, but his cause and manner of death are pending, according to the coroner’s office.

A spokesperson for the DuPage County sheriff’s office did not respond to calls for comment.
