A 39-year-old man has been missing since Saturday from north suburban Antioch.

James J. Helton was reported missing from the area of Route 45 and Route 173, said the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in a statement.

Lake County deputies spotted Helton in the area of Russell Road and Frontage Road at 3:45 a.m. Monday, but Helton ran through a heavily wooded area and was not found, the statement said.

Helton is described as a 5-foot-11, 190-pound white man with brown eyes, brown hair and a full beard that is a red and brown mix with grey hair on his chin, the statement said.

Police said he was last seen wearing black and grey checkered pajama pants and a black tank top, though it is possible he changed into a red t-shirt.

He has a red lips tattoo on his neck, a Jordan Air symbol tattoo on his right arm, the words Jesse James tattooed on his back, and the word “Caylee” tattooed on his chest, the statement said.

Helton is reported to have made suicidal statements. If he is located, contact 911 immediately and don’t approach him, police said.
