A man has been missing from the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side for a week.

Lamount Vaughn, 58, was last seen Aug. 11 in the 1500 block of West 47th Street, according to a missing person alert issued by police.

Vaughn was described as a black man, standing 5-foot-6 and weighing 160 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

He often uses public transportation and is known to frequent the areas in and around 35th to 47th streets, between King Drive and Cottage Grove, police said.

Vaughn also frequents the area around the 2800 block of North Lakeview and the intersections of Broadway and Sheridan, Lawrence and Sheridan and Montrose and Broadway, police said.
