Cubs second baseman Logan Watkins tore his Achilles in February during Spring Training, and over six months later, he said he’s ready to return.

Got 100 percent cleared to play today! Only took 6 1/2 months! Thank you to everyone who took the time to wish me good luck with my recovery. Not sure what happens next but life is good today. A photo posted by Logan Watkins (@watkinslogan) on Aug 19, 2015 at 12:31pm PDT

Watkins was hitting .233 with four doubles, one home run and six RBI in 58 games with the Cubs over the past two seasons.

No indication when Watkins will return to the Cubs.
