Two men were found battered early Sunday in the Gold Coast.

About 4:45 a.m., officers were waved down by people who saw the two victims in the 1200 block of North State Parkway, police said.

The men, ages 26 and 31, both had suffered minor head injuries and were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

Neither men could say what happened to cause the injuries, police said.

A police source said they were both highly intoxicated.
