A 76-year-old man who was missing from the South Deering neighborhood has been found safe.

Frank Hester was reported missing from the 10200 block of South Calhoun on Aug. 23, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

Police said Wednesday morning that he has been found safe.

The 27-year-old was inside his home about 11:30 p.m. in the first block of South Emerald Avenue when a male suspect fired shots.
