A man was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side Monday evening.

About 6:10 p.m., the 18-year-old was in the 1000 block of North Avers when another person walked up and shot him in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

The shooting happened at the Warwick Allerton Hotel, officials said.
