A 15-year-old boy was shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side late Thursday.

About 11:35 p.m., the teen was walking in the 3900 block of West Thomas when a vehicle pulled up and someone got out and shot him in the lower leg, police said. The shooter got back in the vehicle, which drove off east on Thomas.

The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
