A 54-year-old Arcadia Terrace neighborhood man died Friday of injuries he suffered almost three weeks earlier in a Ravenswood crash on the North Side.

John Crane suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the crash that happened Sept. 6 near the intersection of West Lawrence and North Ravenswood avenues, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Crane died at 4 p.m. Friday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, authorities said. He lived in the 5900 block of North Maplewood.

An autopsy Saturday ruled his death an accident, with alcoholism was listed as a secondary cause of death.
