10 displaced in Chatham apartment building fire

Ten people were left homeless after a fire Monday morning in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.

The extra-alarm fire in a three-story apartment building at 8026 S. Champlain was extinguished by 8:23 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

No one was injured in the blaze. Human Services was notified to assist eight adults and two children who live in the building.
