A southwest suburban man died Saturday night after he was involved in a crash on I-80 near Tinley Park.

Jesse Johnson, 44, was involved in a crash about on I-80 near Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The Joliet resident was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 8:48 p.m. Saturday, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy showed he died from multiple injuries from a motor vehicle accident, and his death was ruled an accident.

Illinois State Police did not immediately respond to a request for information about the crash.

The medical examiner’s office had originally reported that the accident occurred in Oak Lawn.
