A southwest suburban woman won’t have to wait on her tax refund to splurge after winning $4 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket

“I am absolutely shocked. I can’t even think straight!” Marie Baio of Burbank said when she turned in the winning Fabulous Fortune ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines, according to a statement from the lottery.

Baio and her husband, Bob, are lifelong Burbank residents who’ve been married for 33 years. They plan to invest some of the money and also take a vacation with their three children.

Baio bought the ticket at Fuel Zone at 6027 West 79th St. in Burbank, and was still in the store when she scratched the winner. The store gets a bonus of $40,000.

There were four $4 million winning tickets in the Fabulous Fortune game, and one has not yet been claimed.
