Overnight lane closures on Golf Road under the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) in northwest suburban Rolling Meadows are scheduled to begin this week for bridge beam removal.

On Monday and Tuesday, one lane in both directions is scheduled to close at 9 p.m., and 15-minute full roadway closures are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m., according to a statement from the Illinois Tollway.

Beginning Wednesday, four nights of full closures of Golf Road will begin at 11 p.m. and last until 6 a.m. the following morning, according to the statement.

During the closures, westbound traffic will be directed north on West New Wilke Road, west on Algonquin Road and south on Meacham Road. Eastbound traffic will follow the same detour in reverse, according to the statement.

The current construction on I-90 between Elgin and the Tri-State Tollway is part of the $2.5 billion I-90 Rebuilding and Widening Project, which also requires reconstruction of I-90 bridges over local roads between Illinois Route 53 and I-294.
