SHARE Two firefighters injured battling Back of the Yards warehouse blaze

Two firefighters were injured battling a blaze in a warehouse early Monday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Firefighters responded to the blaze about 1:25 a.m. at the warehouse in the 4300 block of South Packers, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries when some pallets fell on them while battling the fire, said Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Curtis Hudson. They were both taken to Holy Cross Hospital.

The blaze was struck out by about 4:30 a.m. The cause remains under investigation.
