A north suburban man won $100,000 in a scratch-off lottery ticket, the Illinois Lottery announced Wednesday.

Beach Park resident Taysir Awad bought a “Blackout Bingo” ticket at the Lake Gas & Oil at 2 North Waukegan Road in Lake Bluff, the Illinois Lottery said in a statement.

“Right away I will make a donation to my favorite charity and then I’ll save the rest for now,” Awad told the Illinois Lottery.

Blackout Bingo is a $10 instant ticket with a top prize of $500,000. One of the $500,000 and three of the $100,000 prizes have not yet been claimed. Lake Gas & Oil will receive a $1,000 bonus, or one percent of the prize, for selling a winning ticket.
