A driver was cited for going through a red light after five people were hurt in a crash Wednesday night in River North.

The driver of a 2008 Mercedes went through a red light at Ohio and Wells about 10:20 p.m., and struck a 2003 Toyota Camry, a 2006 Toyota and a 2015 Lincoln MKZ, according to Chicago Police.

The 39-year-old driver of the Mercedes, a 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. A 54-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were taken to Stroger Hospital.

All five suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes was cited for disobeying a red light and driving without a driver’s license.
