A man was found dead Monday afternoon underneath a viaduct in the Pilsen neighborhood.

Jesus Reyes-Ortiz, thought to be in his 30s, was found unresponsive under a viaduct in the 1500 block of South Wolcott about 1:30 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and Chicago Police.

Reyes-Ortiz, who is believed to be homeless, was pronounced dead at the scene minutes later, according to the medical examiner.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
