The CTA bus tracker app, designed to inform people of exactly when their bus will arrive, was a no-show for more than 14 hours Monday.

The feature was out of service before 8 a.m. and was finally restored shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, according to the transit agency.

The vendor scheduled maintenance work on the app Sunday night, but by Monday morning, all 3rd party apps, bus shelter signs, CTAbustracker.com and the SMS/text arrival service were affected by the technical prblems, said Jeff Tolman, a CTA spokesperson.

“Our engineers are working on it. We are trying to resolve the issues as soon as possible,” Tolman told the Chicago Sun-Times earlier in the day.
