Police are searching for an 89-year-old woman who was last seen Friday in the Near North Side neighborhood on the North Side.

Violet Gelabert was last seen Friday near Chicago Avenue and State Street, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

She is described as a white woman with blonde hair, blue eyes and a light complexion, standing 5-feet-3 and weighing 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing a grey coat, brown scarf, brown hat and white shoes with flowers, police said.

Police said she may be “mentally confused” and in need of medical attention.
