A 17-year-old boy was shot Sunday morning in the Southwest Side Gage Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened in the 3000 block of West 59th Street at 10:09 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The teenager was shot twice in the left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. His condition wasn’t immediately known.

Police said the boy is a documented gang member.
