A social media account purportedly operated by one of R. Kelly’s girlfriends has been shut down after the host site could not confirm the user’s identity, according to reports.

Patreon — a networking site that aims to see online content creators paid for their work — said in a statement Tuesday that it had removed the account that claimed to be that of Joycelyn Savage, one of Kelly’s girlfriends who lives in Trump Tower.

The site told Rolling Stone the account was taken down Tuesday because the operator was unable to provide Patreon with proof of their identity.

A representative for Patreon did not respond to questions from the Chicago Sun-Times.

Patreon users who visited the page Tuesday were met with a message saying the account had been removed. An Instagram account associated with Savage, though, remained active. Late Tuesday morning, that user posted a message that read: “Me and Azriel [Clary, Kelly’s other girlfriend] will be going live together soon to explain everything that’s going on. I will be doing promotions, inbox me for prices.”

The Patreon account’s removal came three days after its operator — who claimed to be Savage — accused Kelly of being sexually and psychologically abusive. The account went on to claim that Kelly impregnated Savage, who eventually terminated the pregnancy in a procedure conducted at his home.

Gerald Griggs, a Georgia attorney who represents Savage’s family, said in a statement Tuesday:

“The recent statement from Patreon underscores the family concern for the safety of their daughter Joycelyn. Numerous allegations made by the account were alarming and confirmed details from our independent investigation, therefore we also unsuccessfully reached out to the account. With the potential dangers facing Joycelyn and her safety, we are asking for Law Enforcement to get involved in determining where Joycelyn is and whom is really behind the account that detailed potential crimes.”

Steve Greenberg, Kelly’s defense attorney, did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday. Over the weekend, in tweets that have since been deleted, Greenberg did address the claims published to Patreon.

“It’s unfortunate that Jocelyn now seeks to make money by exploiting her long time, loving relationship with Robert,” Greenberg tweeted. “Obviously if she were to tell the truth no one would pay so she has, unfortunately, chosen to regurgitate the stories and lies told by others for her own personal profit.”

“We know the real facts, and it was not until the money ran out that she decided anything was wrong. Hopefully people will see it for the Obvious profiteering it is.”

Kelly, 52, whose real name is Robert Kelly, is charged in federal court in Illinois with 13 counts around child pornography, enticing a minor into illegal sexual activity and conspiracy to obstruct justice. He also faces federal charges in New York and local cases in Minnesota and Cook County — all of which involve sex crimes against minors.
