A 33-year-old man is in serious condition Saturday after he collided with a vehicle in Old Town Triangle.

He was on a BMW RR1000 motorcycle northbound about 12:13 a.m. in the 800 block of North LaSalle Drive when he hit a 2012 Toyota Scion driven by a man, 38, that was westbound at the intersection, making a southbound turn, Chicago police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. He was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The older man refused medical treatment, police said.
