Man seriously injured in crash in Little Village

A 53-year-old man was seriously injured Monday in a crash in Little Village on the Southwest Side.

About 9:25 p.m., he was driving a Chevy SUV when he struck the guard rail and then struck the side of a building in the 2700 block of West 31st Boulevard, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and is in serious condition, police said.

Chicago police are investigating the crash.
