A dead body was found Sunday in Belmont Harbor on the North Side.

Officers were notified about the body about 1:15 p.m. and the marine unit pulled it from Lake Michigan near the mouth of Belmont Harbor, Chicago police said.

Further details were not immediately available.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office said a 72-year-old man died at that location. Autopsy results remain pending.
