One person was injured after their vehicle traveled over a concrete median Tuesday morning and fell off Interstate 355 in suburban Addison.

The incident happened about 10:55 a.m. on I-355 near U.S. Route 20, according to Illinois State Police.

A silver-colored Jeep was northbound on I-355 when the driver lost control of the car and traveled over the right concrete median, state police said.

The Jeep then struck a bridge sign before landing below on Lake Street, state police said.

One person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

All roadways in the area are open.
