A boy, thought to be about 2-years-old, and a girl, thought to be about 3-years-old, were found walking alone in the cold March 3, 2021, in the 7200 block of South Jeffery Boulevard.

A pair of toddlers were found walking alone in the cold early Wednesday in the South Shore neighborhood.

A driver found the boy and girl walking in the 7200 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, Chicago police said.

The man called 911 to report the wandering girl, thought to be 3-years-old, and a boy, thought to be 2-years-old, police said.

The girl was wearing a coat and boots, police said. The boy was wearing a shirt, jogging pants and no coat.

They were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for an evaluation, police said. A family member of the children was contacted.

The Department of Children and Family Services was notified, police said.

In February, a man found a 7-year-old girl wandering alone in freezing temperatures in the Englewood neighborhood after she left her home.
