Nine people were injured in a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Saturday night.

Eight people were injured in a crash involving a limousine Saturday night on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

About 11:45 p.m., ambulances responded to a call of an accident on the Dan Ryan at 47th Street involving a fifteen-person limousine, according to Illinois State police. Eight people from the limousine were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

About 11:55 p.m., the left lane of I-94 northbound lanes near 47th Street was closed for an investigation, but reopened about 1:15 a.m., state police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
