A 22-year-old man was shot in his thigh Saturday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

He was shot about 1:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Merrill, according to Chicago police.

He went to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Area Central detectives were investigating the shooting.
