A 23-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

About 1 p.m., he was in the 7100 block of South Aberdeen when someone approached him on foot and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to one of his legs, and took himself to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was in good condition.
