A 24-year-old man was shot early Saturday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

He was standing on the sidewalk at 2:16 a.m. in the 300 block of North Lorel when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police. He had been struck in the leg.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was in good condition.
