A 26-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon in the Fernwood neighborhood on the Far South Side.

At 1:32 p.m., he was walking with a friend in the 300 block of West 99th Place when two people opened fire from Princeton Park, striking him in the right foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in good condition, police said.
