A 26-year-old man was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He told investigators he was in Linden Park about 4:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Pulaski when he heard several gunshots, according to Chicago Police. He started to run away, felt pain in his buttocks and realized he’d been shot.

The man took himself to Norwegian American Hospital and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Investigators believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
