A 28-year-old man was shot Friday night in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

He was sitting in a parked vehicle about 8:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 44th Street when he heard gunfire and was struck in the upper back, Chicago Police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
