Three people were injured in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

A pickup was northbound in the 6400 block of South Cottage Grove at 3:23 a.m. when it struck a Chevrolet Malibu, forcing the car off the road, according to Chicago Police. The driver of the Malibu lost control and the car hit a fire hydrant, light pole and CTA sign.

The driver of the Malibu, a 23-year-old woman; and two passengers, a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man; were all taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, police said.

The pickup took off after the crash.
