Three people were wounded Thursday night in a drive-by shooting in the Avalon Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Two men, ages 23 and 27, and a 21-year-old woman were riding in a vehicle in the 7600 block of South South Chicago Avenue at 10:43 p.m. when another vehicle drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The 23-year-old man was shot in the back of the neck, and the 27-year-old man was shot in the chest. Both were taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

The woman suffered a graze wound to the right arm and was taken to Jackson Park Hospital where her condition stabilized, police said.
