Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday in the Gold Coast.

About 2:10 a.m., a vehicle driving on Inner Lake Shore Drive near Burton Place lost control and rear-ended a taxi, according to Chicago Police.

The 39-year-old cab driver and 65-year-old woman in the back seat were both taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

The two 21-year-old men in the other vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.

One of the 21-year-old men was cited for driving too fast for conditions, failure to reduce speed, failure to keep in the lane, not having insurance and having expired plates, police said.
