A 78-year-old man was pinned under a tractor Tuesday morning in west suburban DeKalb.

The man slipped while attempting to get on the tractor as it was rolling in the 14000 block of Perry Road a few minutes before 10 a.m, according to the DeKalb County sheriff’s office. His lower extremities were pinned underneath.

A neighbor moved the tractor off the victim, who was taken by ambulance to Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, according to the sheriff’s office. He was then transferred to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
