An autopsy did not rule on the cause or manner of death of a 98-year-old man who died Thursday, two months after he was hit by a car near a gas station in southwest suburban Summit.

Esteban Barraza was struck by a car on May 10 near the Citgo gas station at 7455 W. Archer Ave, according to Summit police.

Barraza, of the 7400 block of West 55th Place in Summit, died at 3:41 p.m. Friday, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Saturday did not rule on the cause or manner of his death, pending further studies.

Police released surveillance photos of the vehicle, described as a dark blue or green Ford Explorer with a light bar mounted on top, and its driver.
