An attempted bank robbery was reported Tuesday at the Seaway Bank branch in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Someone tried to rob the bank at 8652 S. Lafayette, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.

FBI agents were on the way to the scene.
