A man on a bicycle was shot and wounded early Sunday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The man was riding about 12:20 a.m. in the 5900 block of West Division Street when someone near him opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was struck in his hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, according to police.
