Bones that were discovered Thursday morning in the Gold Coast neighborhood on the Near North Side turned out to be non-human.

They were found in the 1400 block of North State Street, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Friday ruled that they were non-human remains.

Chicago Police could not immediately provide any information.
