A teenage boy was critically wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 15-year-ol boy was exiting a business in the 0-100 block of West 79th about midnight when someone got out of a vehicle and shot at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A police source said the boy is a documented gang member.
