A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday afternoon in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The boy was walking at 2:51 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Francisco when someone began shooting at him, Chicago Police said.

The boy was struck in his leg and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.
