A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

He was walking in an alley in the 1300 block of West Garfield at 1:41 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit, Chicago Police said.

The boy was shot in the right foot and taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.
