CTA buses were rerouted due to street blockages Saturday in the South Loop.

No. 18 buses headed eastbound were temporarily rerouted via State Street, 11th Street, Wabash Avenue, and Roosevelt Roosevelt about 12:40 p.m. according to the Chicago Transit Authority.

Westbound buses were not affected, authorities said.

Travelers were advised to allow for extra travel time.

Normal service resumed around 3 p.m.
