Chicago Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 12-year-old girl who went missing Thursday afternoon from the South Side and might be in need of her medication.

Sharonda McNickles was last seen about 2:30 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Dante, according to a missing person alert.

The 5-feet tall, 106-pound black girl was wearing a lavender T-shirt, gray shorts and black shoes, the alert said. She is from the 1500 block of East 72nd Street and wears her brown hair in braids.

Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380 or 911.
