A fire broke out in the garage of a home in southwest suburban Orland Hills Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded about 1:25 p.m. to the blaze in the 8800 block of Meadowview Lane, according to Ray Hanania, a spokesman for the Orland Fire Protection District.

Heavy smoke spread through the house fro the fire, which started in and was mostly contained to the garage, Hanania said. No one was hurt.

Damage estimates weren’t immediately available. The cause is under investigation.
