A man was critically injured in a crash early Wednesday on the Northwest Side.

The 35-year-old man was driving about 4:15 a.m. in the 4500 block of West Montrose when the vehicle hit a building, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Thursday morning, police said.
