A 67-year-old woman who fell into Lake Michigan while walking on a pier was rescued and taken to a hospital in critical condition Saturday in Evanston.
Crews were called around 4:45 p.m. to the boat ramp at 1701 Sheridan Rd., according to Evanston police, who said someone person had pulled her to shore and started performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the time paramedics arrived.
She was taken to Evanston Hospital, where she was in critical “but stable” condition, police said.
