Join the Zumba party at CBS 2 Chicago

Here’s another good idea for Valentine’s Day weekend: come out for a Zumba party on Feb. 13.

After all, Valentine’s Day is about the heart, right? You want to keep yours in good shape, and exercise helps you do that.

(BTW, the first event I suggested for the weekend is a tea at Brindille. Read about it here.)

The National Latino Education Institute — a community-based non-profit that offers a number of training programs — has teamed up with CBS 2 Chicago for the second annual Zumba For Your Heart. The two hours of dancing begins at 8 a.m. at CBS’ broadcast center, 22 W. Washington.

I am a big fan of Zumba parties. I never had a bad time at one; it’s non-stop fun that really gets the body moving.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a Zumbanista; the party is designed so persons at all levels can participate.

Admission is free, but donations to the non-profit are welcome. To register, call (773) 247-0707 or email lmaraba@nlei.org.
